Thomas Viertel
Senior Associate

Thomas Viertel works as a Senior Associate at adelphi in the field of conceptual design and stakeholder communication. Previously, he worked for the environmental organisation Germanwatch, for the German parliamentary group Alliance 90/The Greens, and was a research assistant at the Commission of Inquiry on Globalization at the German Bundestag.

Working as a senior consultant at a communications agency in Berlin, Thomas Viertel was responsible for environmental and energy issues. Since 2003 he also lectures at a private university for communication and design on topics such as political communication, media sociology and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Thomas Viertel grew up in Somalia, Mexico and Tokyo. He studied political science and economics at the University of Wuerzburg.
