Heike Mewes

Junior Project Manager
Heike Mewes works at adelphi as a Junior Project Manager focused on topics at the intersection of sustainability and the economy. Currently she supports projects in the areas of climate change adaptation from a business perspective, strategic sustainability management and transition to a green economy.
Heike Mewes started her work with adelphi as a scholarship holder of the ASApreneurs programme of Engagement Global. As ASApreneurs fellow with adelphi and the project partner Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development of the Indian industry federation CII in New-Delhi, India, she supported the implementation of the project „CoSMIC – Corporate Sustainability Management in Indian Companies“. Before joining adelphi, Heike Mewes gained work experience in the framework of internships with the Corporate Accountability Department of the NGO Germanwatch and with the human rights NGO Amnesty International in Rome, Italy, as well as in the function of student assistant amongst others with the German Advisory Council on Global Environmental Change in support of a research project on the interrelations of poverty and environment and with the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 700 supporting a research project on public private partnerships in the environmental, health, and social sectors.
Heike Mewes studied political science at the Free University of Berlin and at the Università di Bologna, Italy. Her main areas of interest were globalisation, development, environment and human rights, as well as the societal responsibility of business.
