Georg Ratjen

Project Manager
Georg Ratjen works as a Project Manager at adelphi. Jointly with adelphi's Managing Director Mikael Henzler he steers the department Energy Efficiency and Energy Management. His work focuses on the development and implementation of innovative projects to reduce barriers for identifying and tapping the full energy potential.
Georg Ratjen develops trainings and lectures on energy management systems (following ISO 50001), energy efficient technologies, energy contracting and GHG accounting (following ISO 14064). On behalf of the Federal Environmental Agency he works on the methodical fundamentals of an energy efficiency benchmark system for German businesses (following prEN 16231). In addition he carries out consultings and trainings on energy efficiency and energy management (e.g. for Continental AG, Deutsche Gesellschaft für international Zusammenarbeit, European Comission) and holds joint responsibility for the continuous supervision and further development of the DEHOGA Energy Campaign in the German Hospitality Industry. On behalf of Eco Conseil he amended the globally successful environmental management implementation methodology EMASeasy by the requirements of the energy management systems standard.
Georg Ratjen has graduated as a Master of Sciences in Industrial Engineering (specializing in Power Engineering and Finance) at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. He is a KfW accredited and TÜV certified energy efficiency consultant for SMEs and BAFA-approved energy consultant for buildings. Prior to his work as a Project Manager he carried out research for adelphi on the subject of energy efficiency networks in the hospitality industry and gained international experience as an exchange student in Mexico (ITESM Tecnológico de Monterrey) and Hungary (International Business School Budapest). During his studies he worked at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences as a research assistant for electro technology and completed various internships inter alia at Audi Hungaria Motors in the financial controlling department, at Siemens Business Services in the area of external communication and at Siemens Professional Education in metal processing.
