Technological development, innovation and modernisation across the economy are not just the basis for a sustainable future, but also key factors for success along that road. adelphi advises public and private-sector actors on the main challenges in this area. Here, the connection between responsibility for the environment and society and the targeted promotion of innovation plays a crucial role. That is why we are interested in all levels of value addition – from innovation through production and utilisation to waste management issues. We draft strategies and decision-making aids for leading actors and, through our own research, actively contribute to further refining the pertinent policy instruments. We support the sharing of current knowledge through dialogue forums, workshops, trade missions and web-based information portals, and in this way play a decisive role in increasing the social relevance of this domain.
