Fostering renewable energies is the key to sustainable energy supplies. We review the potential of a low carbon economy by dialogue with leading newly industrialised countries, have actively participated in the process of founding the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and, within the Major Economies Forum (MEF), advise the Federal Government on technological cooperation in solar power.
