Annika Kramer
Dipl.-Ing. Environmental Engineering
Head of Programme Water

Annika Kramer is Head of Programme Water at adelphi. Her work also focuses on international cooperation, resource governance, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change. Annika is mainly concerned with the political, legal and institutional framework as well as the socio-economic aspects of water management. She is convinced that these framework conditions are crucial to the success of ambitious strategies and innovative technologies for sustainable water use.

“To ensure access to water and sanitation for everyone, and make sure that water resources for sustainable development are also available in other sectors in the future, we need to create the necessary institutional, legal and political conditions. At adelphi, we examine suitable governance approaches and translate the latest research into practicable strategies and policy recommendations. This makes them accessible to the relevant national and international actors.”
