Armelina Sifnaiou is an Expert Scout at adelphi and provides support for strategic business development and project acquisition. She is responsible for the mobilisation and recruitment of executives and specialists, helping expand the company’s specialised knowledge base and methodological expertise.
Prior to joining adelphi, Armelina ran intergenerational initiatives and projects related to the welcoming culture at the municipal level in Berlin. In addition to committee work, she was responsible for cooperation with representatives from politics, administration and civil society. Armelina also took care of the application for and management of public funding. After completing her studies, she spent several years working in development cooperation in southern Africa. There, she developed strategies and programs on HIV prevention, gender equality, decentralisation and public finances for the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Armelina was also responsible for regional lobbying and high-level collaboration. She implemented the ‘Delivering as One’ strategy for the Coordination Office of all Lesotho-based UN organizations.
Armelina holds a master’s degree in Industrial and Network Economics from the Technische Universität Berlin and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is Capacity WORKS certified and has successfully completed training in gender equality and anti-racist language.
