Carolina Borges is a Research Analyst in the field of energy efficiency, with a primary focus on the financing of energy efficiency and the building sector.
Prior to joining at adelphi, Carolina acquired experience in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainability in the building sector in various contexts. In Sao Paulo, she worked as a consultant for green building certification, developing concepts of energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality for urban development, residential and commercial projects. In Berlin, she worked in a consultancy on building energy efficiency, with focus on renovation projects under the KfW funding schemes.
Carolina is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Planning at the Technische Universität Berlin. Furthermore, she is conducting research on the gendered impacts of climate change within the context of the ‘Regional Academy on the United Nations (RAUN) 2019-2020’. Prior to that, she completed a graduate diploma in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Universidade de São Paulo. For her graduation thesis, Carolina examined housing policies and urban dynamics in São Paulo and analysed energy efficiency aspects of the rehabilitation of buildings for social housing. During that programme, Carolina won a scholarship for a one year academic exchange in Berlin.
