Karolina Heck works as an Analyst at adelphi on water resources management and climate adaptation. In doing so, she considers not only the challenges of climate change but also the potentials, such as the formation of new civil society organisations, financing opportunities for climate projects or the pooling of different sources of knowledge. Karolina believes that a transdisciplinary approach that includes the expertise of civilians is essential for developing sustainable solutions.
“Our available water resources are changing due to climate change, and human activities put additional pressure on the global water supply. At adelphi, I can contribute to ensuring that institutional cooperation strategies and policy advice are sustainable and inclusive. In cooperation with various project partners, we analyse innovative governance approaches that enable the ecologically and socio-economically sound use of water.”
