Lena Piepmeier works at adelphi as a Consultant on projects relating to circular economy. Her role is at the intersection of Finance & Controlling and project management and includes the development, support and implementation of processes and structures in these areas. Her projects focus mainly on the reduction of plastic waste in the Caribbean Sea, the e-waste sector and sustainable textiles.
Prior to joining adelphi, Lena worked at Accenture Consulting and held responsibilities in the in the fields of supply chain and operations management/industry 4.0. She conducted process optimisations, feasibility assessments, project management tasks and strategy development projects. In this position, Lena developed a functional focus on digital plant projects in the resources industry. A focal point of her work was the introduction of digital technology and building up the required organisational capabilities. In international transformation projects, she counseled clients in global and cross-functional teams. Lena previously worked with different project management methodologies such as agile PM and design thinking. She holds the Scrum Foundation and Scrum Master certifications. Furthermore, Lena worked for a non-profit foundation that fights poverty in West African countries, thereby gaining experience in international development cooperation projects.
Lena’s academic background is in International Business & Supply Chain Management. She studied for her bachelor's and master's degrees at Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) and spent an exchange semester at the University of Sorbonne in France. She graduated her Master's with distinction and wrote her master's thesis on closed-loop supply chain management in the automotive sector.
