Leonie Ederli Fickinger is a Research Analyst at adelphi and works primarily in the areas of green finance and sustainable energy financing. She focuses primarily on the financing of energy efficiency.
Prior to joining adelphi, Leonie gained wide-ranging experience in the private sector, climate policy and climate consulting. At Climatekos, she helped create handbooks on climate financing and climate project development, and was involved in acquisitions and business development. As part of the Climate Delegation of the Youth Alliance for Future Energy (JBZE), Leonie was an observer at UNFCCC events, which gave her insight into climate policy practice along with detailed knowledge of climate financing and adaptation. She acquired business experience at Euvino GmbH, where, as co-project manager of a digitisation project, she was responsible for stakeholder management and the development of engagement strategies.
Leonie completed an interdisciplinary Master's degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management at the Humboldt University of Berlin. As part of her master's thesis at the Global Climate Forum, she explored financial incentives for coastal adaptation strategies in the private real estate industry.
