Maggie Sloan is a Research Analyst at adelphi specialising in the topics areas of sustainability entrepreneurship, green economy and resource efficiency.
Prior to joining adelphi, Maggie gained experience working for a risk reduction and climate change adaptation project sponsored by the EU’s Disaster Preparedness Programme (DIPECHO) in Peru and on a World Bank renewable energy initiative in Indonesia. She improved her proficiency in quantitative analysis while working for an environmental engineering firm and consulting a client on the financial risks of Wetland Mitigation Banking at a former coal-fired power plant. While studying for her MA, she received professional dialogue facilitation training and events planning experience as lead event coordinator for TEDx Talks at her university. In this role, she gained confidence writing funding proposals and with team management.
Maggie received a Master of Science in Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford, with a concentration in corporate environmental management. Furthermore, she has an undergraduate degree with honours in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, focusing on global political economy and EU environmental politics.
