Raquel Munayer assists the Climate Diplomacy-Team as a Research Analyst by providing content and editorial support for the ECC-Platform for Environment, Conflict and Cooperation.
Before joining adelphi, Raquel Munayer worked as a Program Assistant for the program Global Politics Seasonal Schools at the Center for Global Politics at the Free University Berlin. She supported the team with content-related and organizational planning for international summer schools in the area of global politics in China, Vietnam Cambodia, Iran and Jordan.
During her internship at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) she supported the Department A (Political Analysis, Concepts and Speeches) with the conceptual preparation of the German Delegation for the COP21. During a voluntary service in Peru, organized by the German development organization ASA, she provided support to a small family business with a conceptual analysis of their ecological and socioeconomic behaviours. Together with the family and community, she analysed and discussed solutions and opportunities for improving the developmental and ecological impact of their activities, which resulted in a new inclusive business model. Here, she gained insight in the areas of international cooperation, agriculture and the climate-related challenges faced by smallholder producers in a developing context.
Raquel Munayer is currently completing her Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy at the University of Potsdam. Her research focus lies in the areas of agricultural policy, climate change and food security. Her Bachelor’s in Political Science was completed at the Otto-Suhr-Institute at the Free University of Berlin.
