Starting on 20 February, adelphi will implement a 6-day training on “energy -efficiency for the building industry” for experts and executives from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.
The building sector worldwide is an important factor in limiting global climate change and assuring energy security. The use of polluting and inefficient materials, as well as insufficient thermal insulation, leads to waste of valuable commercial assets and energy. Expert and appropriate building and renovation, in addition to the use of resource-conserving technologies, are crucial and can make a significant contribution to climate protection.
The second part of the multi-level training cycle in the context of the InWEnt-programme on “Energy Efficiency in Buildings – Capacity Building in energy-efficient Building Envelopes in the Maghreb Region” will build on the fundamentals learned at the beginning of December. The agenda includes the concept of the energy-plus-house, the evaluation of thermal capacity of buildings, and the application of insulating materials.
The training is targeted at professionals and executives from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia who work in vocational education, in the construction industry, and in energy agencies, and who will later act as multipliers. This practice -orientated advanced training supports participants in improving the conditions for energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in buildings.
