Transatlantic climate and energy policies are the focus of CONNECTED – a newsletter from adelphi and the Worldwatch Institute that published its first edition today.
With CONNECTED, partners adelphi and Worldwatch Institute, headquartered in Berlin and Washington DC, will support the Transatlantic Climate Bridge. This initiative was launched by the German Federal Government to foster cooperation with the U.S. on climate and energy at the national, state and local levels. In the last years the initiative has promoted numerous activities by public authorities, the private sector, civil society, and academia in order to strengthen climate protection and energy security.
The quarterly newsletter CONNECTED, supported by the Federal Environmental Ministry, will showcase and review policy and research initiatives that are aimed at low-emissions development. Opinion pieces, interviews, as well as reports on studies, dialogues and conferences will provide a regular update on the progress made toward building climate-compatible economies in Europe, the United States and beyond.
Download the first edition for an op-ed on the need for a common transatlantic agenda on reducing the global risks resulting from climate change, as well as an interview with two pioneers expanding renewable energies from both sides of the Atlantic:
