The G20 Challenge on Inclusive Business Innovation is one of the key action items of the G20 Development Agenda and aims at identifying and supporting inclusive business models with the potential for replication and scalability. The winners have been recognised by a high-profile judging panel for their innovative way of working with low-income people living at the Base of the Pyramid (BOP), their contribution to alleviating poverty and improving local livelihoods.

adelphi has been assigned by the German Technical Assistance Agency (GIZ) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ) to organise the series of high-profile workshops held in different regions for the winners. They will focus on the challenges that inclusive businesses face when replicating their models in other countries. They also seek to raise awareness for the concept of inclusive business and its benefit, to support the South-South spread of such business models, and to link them with business partners and investors. The first workshop will take place in Berlin, Germany later in 2012.
