In more and more regions of the world the consequences of climate change begin to unfold and will increasingly do so. Scenarios may support the development of preventive measures to avoid negative impacts. The three-day event aimed to gauge the possible impacts of climate change on the water-energy-agriculture-nexus and its consequences for security in Central Asia. International experts and policy makers from Central Asia assessed risks from climate change, discussed measures to protect environmental security in Central Asia and promoted regional cooperation. One of the central outcomes of the workshop was the identification of positive development opportunities of Central Asia, for example the transition towards a Green Economy.
