In preparing the launch of the "Centre of Competence for Environmental and Resource Technologies" through the German Environment Ministry (BMU), a central online portal for efficient technologies was developed and partly implemented. The portal provides detailed information on efficient technologies and their potential application and displays experience and competencies of German companies. The portal was created as part of the environmental technology portal "Cleaner Production Germany" that includes data from the "Green Tech Atlas 2.0" as well as 50 reference examples from the industry.
The online version of "Green Tech Atlas 2.0" gave a comprehensive picture of environmental technologies in Germany and was structured along six key markets: environmentally friendly energy production, energy efficiency, resource and materials efficiency, closed loop recycling management, sustainable water management and sustainable mobility. The portal acted as a "living platform" as new companies could register online. adelphi was responsible for the design and implementation of the "Green Tech Atlas 2.0" portal as well as for the provision of company data.
