Operated on behalf of the European Commission, the Helpdesk provides information on EMAS (e.g. on the registration procedure, data and statistics) to stakeholders such as companies, associations, environmental organisations and the interested public. In addition, the Helpdesk supports the European Commission by developing and implementing marketing and communication activities.
Among adelphi’s tasks in 2011 were the preparation of company case studies about the implementation of EMAS and fact sheets (on, for instance, the differences and similarities between EMAS and ISO 14001, EMAS and resource efficiency) in addition to the further development of the European EMAS website.
