Title translated: Saving energy systematically. Guidebook for the implementation of alternative energy management systems in small and medium-sized enterprises
This manual serves as a valuable tool for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) aiming to implement an alternative energy management system. The guideline is based on the provisions of the Spitzenausgleich-Effizienzsystemverordnung (SpaEfV) and provides step-by-step guidance on how to develop and implement such an alternative energy management system. To this end, the manual explains the legal regulations relevant for energy and electricity tax benefits as well as the EEG reallocation charge. In this context, the handbook also draws on the regulations businesses need to bear in mind in order to benefit from electricity tax reimbursements. Each chapter contains check lists and tables which simplify the implementation even further. The guide also provides a number of useful recommendations with which reductions in energy consumption and energy costs can be continuously monitored and improved. It therefore even goes beyond the requirements of SpaEfV. The manual is complemented by a useful software tool that facilitates the mandatory monitoring process. Furthermore, the guide provides an overview of the requirements for energy audits according to DIN EN 16247 as well as for energy management systems according to ISO 50001. Both standards are then compared to the provisions for an alternative energy management system.
