In summer 2011, the German Federal Government adopted the "Adaptation Action Plan", with the aim of implementing the German Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change. The first pillar of this action plan describes knowledge provision, information and empowerment as the key tasks facing the Federal Government. Against this backdrop, an expansion of the KomPass website www.anpassung.net into a "Federal Portal" was set in motion. To this end, adelphi's responsibility in the "Information, Communication and Cooperation within the German Adaptation Strategy (IKK-DAS III)" project was to update and modernise www.anpassung.net. The result is a powerful and comprehensive communication tool for adaptation to climate change in Germany. Another part of this project was the editorial supervision of the KomPass newsletter, the revision of its content and its structure as well as the networking of different stakeholders. This publication summarises all measures taken and the results achieved.
