adelphi supported the GTZ’s (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit) Energy Programme in India. In a three year project, funded by InWEnt, Germany, state specific plans stating general policies, mission and vision that relate to energy efficiency, renewable energy and power sector reforms support will be prepared and implemented.
Major activities focus on facilitating a moderated dialogue between consultants and the designated state entities in order to prepare the plans, ensure stable financing and agree on achievable targets. Furthermore, depending on the experience level of the staff from designated state institutions, various training programmes will be conducted in India and in Europe, thereby enabling policymakers, opinion leaders and experts in these fields to exchange knowledge.
