After completion of the capacity-building workshops for the SEED Award 2013 winners, their support has reached the next level: a new e-support platform has been launched. This platform enables the continuing transfer of knowledge and support from consultants and other sustainability entrepreneurs.
Through targeted capacity-building workshops, the winning enterprises of the SEED Award 2013 received the opportunity to work together with their partners and under the guidance of adelphi and local service providers to improve their business knowledge. In this context, locally based service providers were trained to apply the SEED approach to promote sustainable entrepreneurship.
In addition, the SEED winners will be actively supported by adelphi in refining their business plans in the first months of 2014. The support of the enterprises is thereby provided by an e-support platform, which was specially developed by adelphi for the SEED Initiative. It offers a variety of tools for sustainable entrepreneurship and serves as a communication platform between the entrepreneurs and their advisors.
The annual SEED Awards promote local environmental and social enterprises that are in the early stages of implementation, for their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment. As in previous years, adelphi supports the SEED initiative in conducting capacity-building workshops, which this year took place in the ten countries of origin of the 34 winners, thus stretching from Peru to Morocco and from South Africa to Vietnam.
