Holistic approaches to rebound-sensitive decarbonization

Energy efficiency is an important pillar of the social-ecological transformation of the economy. But rebound effects can reduce effectiveness. Companies and politicians must therefore take these effects into account. Possible solutions include a more holistic promotion of energy efficiency in companies in conjunction with absolute energy savings targets as part of a balanced policy mix.
