Emissions Trading

In the fight against climate change, states rely on various different measures. Market-based instruments – with emissions trading leading the way – play a preeminent role. The focal point of adelphi’s work is the analysis of current and nascent Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS), as well as options for their further development and future linking towards a global carbon market. adelphi makes a central contribution to the exchange of knowledge and experiences in emissions trading via project management for the offices of the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) and the Working Group for Emissions Trading (AGE), as well as analytical consulting projects on the design and implementation of educational activities in the field of ETS.
