Renewables on the Global Market: supporting the renewables – Made in Germany initiative

Through the renewables – Made in Germany initiative the BMWi supports the dissemination of renewable energy technologies worldwide to help mitigate climate change. The goals are to bring German and international technology providers of renewable energy systems together to create networks. To this end, the aim of the initiative is to support the creation of networks of key decision makers in the target markets in question and to collect comprehensive information on the policy and economic environment of those target markets.

In this context, adelphi and enviacon draw up detailed country profiles and fact sheets on international renewable energy markets and support German Chambers of Commerce abroad in putting together target market analyses. In order to be able to determine potential for growth and other opportunities important to German companies, adelphi and enviacon prepare a comprehensive global market analysis, which is used by the BMWi as a basis for decision-making for future activities of the initiative. In addition, both partners are responsible for the organisation of special events and act as first point of contact, handling social media, information distribution and external communications for the renewables – Made in Germany initiative.

The renewables – Made in Germany initiative was launched on the basis of a decision by the Bundestag in 2002. It has since then been financed and managed by the BMWi, with the support of many partners both in Germany and abroad.
